Shape borrowing

Shape borrowing is way of making a new design of something. It is borrowing the shape of something that looks aesthetically pleasing and using the shape in the design so the product itself is aesthetically pleasing. It may  or may not be fully functional but it is will be a design that looks good

S.C.A.M.P.E.R

S.C.A.M.P.E.R is a technique used to improve/modify an object in terms of looks/design, Function/purpose or both of them. A general example is making something like a juicer. It has a useful function but is not aesthetically pleasing. So, people have used scamper and made it look better.S.C.A.M.P.E.R is an acronym for:

Substitute

Combine

Adapt

Modify/Minimise/Maximise

Put to Another Use

Eliminate

Reverse

Also, Scamper is used to make entirely new ideas that multi-function as 'Combine' suggests. A example of combining in scamper is phones. At first phones were just used to call people but people thought of using handphone for MANY MANY purposes and started combining them into handphones.
